DO YOU OFFER TASTINGS OR SELL WINE?
Not yet, our vineyard is not currently producing enough to support a winery. However, we do have plans to expand in the future and build a separate winery where people can come for tastings.
HOW DO I RESERVE MY EVENT AT DEAUX RUN VINEYARD AND VENUE?
Dates are secured with a one-third retainer and a signed agreement. This ensures your exclusive venue reservation for your chosen dates
WHAT HOURS WILL I BE ALLOWED TO OCCUPY THE VENUE?
All-day rentals allow you to begin setting up at 7:30am on the first day of your rental. Please ensure everything is packed and loaded by 11:00pm on the final day.
Note that you will not be able to set up the day before your event rental period, so please plan accordingly and we thank you for understanding.
IS WEDDING OR EVENT COORDINATION INCLUDED?
We are pleased to offer in-house wedding coordination provided by Michele Behrendt. She offers her professional experience at affordable pricing. You can find out more here.
CAN I SERVE ALCOHOL AT MY EVENT?
You may serve beer, wine, and champagne. However, if you have any hard liquor, you must have a licensed bartender present to serve it. Additionally, cash bars are prohibited in Stone County, Mississippi and bartenders can only serve alcohol you have purchased and brought in yourself (aka- dry bar)
DOES DEAUX RUN VINEYARD AND VENUE HAVE A BACK-UP PLAN FOR RAIN?
If the inclement weather is forecasted, you have the option to hold your ceremony indoors or on the covered back porch. Please inform us of your decision - indoor or outdoor wedding - at least 48 hours prior to the start of your reservation, so that we can arrange the tables and chairs accordingly.
We do. Event insurance protects both of us in case someone gets hurt during your event. We do require that you get your insurance from The Event Helper so that we know that the coverage is what we need. Keep in mind - if you reserve the venue for two days, be sure to mark both days for coverage and if you do decide on a deductible, you are responsible for paying that.
MAY I HIRE ANY VENDORS I WANT AND AM I REQUIRED TO HAVE A CATERER?
We welcome your choice of professional vendors. While we offer Curated Coordination for those who desire a seamless experience, you are free to bring your own team to the venue.
Our custom-designed prep kitchen is available for you or your chosen caterer. To maintain the integrity of the venue, all culinary preparation must be handled before arrival, as on-site cooking is not permitted.
ARE BALLOON SEND OFFS OR SKY CANDLE LANTERNS ALLOWED?
Although balloons are allowed inside our Venue, it is important to be cautious and prevent them from floating up into the sky. This is because there are cows and other animals in the vicinity that may accidentally ingest the string or balloon, leading to illness or even death. Due to this concern, we strictly prohibit the use of helium balloons outdoors. Furthermore, the use of sky candle lanterns is restricted as they pose a fire hazard to the surrounding forest areas.
DO I HAVE TO SET UP TABLES OR CLEAN THE VENUE BEFORE I LEAVE?
You'll meet with us to go over your floorplan and we will have your tables and chairs set up and ready when you arrive. We take care of all the cleaning and storage of the tables and chairs after you depart. Your only responsibility is to ensure all trash is in an actual trash can and pack up anything you bring in. We'll handle the rest!
I SEE YOU HAVE EST 2017, BUT YOUR VENUE DIDN'T OPEN UNTIL 2024. WHY IS THAT?
Our first vines were planted in our main vineyard in 2017, and we have officially adopted that date as the year we established Deaux Run Vineyard and Venue.
